EGEC hosted workshop on the second NER300 call

In the afternoon of the 14th May EGEC hosted the only public workshop on the NER300 for geothermal Project developers. Participants were joined by a representative from DG CLIMA of the European Commission where they discussed the details of the 2nd NER300 call and what is available for geothermal, and received some feedback from a Hungarian project which is funded under the first call.

On the 3rd April the European Commission launched its second call for proposals under the NER 300. This is particularly relevant to EGS projects as proposals for the co-financing of demonstration projects of innovative renewable energy technologies are invited.

NER 300 is a funding mechanism managed by DG CLIMA, the European Investment bank and Member states and funded through the sale of 300Mio allowances under the EU ETS scheme.

Presentations from the event are available here, and you can find a guide for EGS project developers in the members’ corner.
